Job Description

Our client, a global leader in the renewable energy sector, is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Group HSSE Manager to champion their Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental vision across all regions. This pivotal role involves integrating HSSE policies, standards, and goals throughout the entire project lifecycle, from development to construction and operations. Reporting to the Group COO, you will lead the impact through strategy development, risk assessment, and fostering a "Safety First" culture. This is an opportunity to drive HSSE programs to international best practice standards within a world-class organization dedicated to safety.
Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing strategic and operational support to regional HSSE teams across all project phases.
  • Driving HSSE programs to international energy sector best practice standards.
  • Forecasting and managing the global HSSE budget, and reporting performance to the Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
  • Defining annual Group HSSE objectives and KPIs and ensuring their achievement.
  • Developing, implementing, and continuously reviewing HSSE policies and procedures.
  • Conducting safety audits, investigating incidents, and performing risk assessments.
  • Reviewing and analyzing HSSE event reporting data to identify trends.
  • Carrying out security risk assessments for new development locations and monitoring existing security plans.
Requirements:
  • A Degree or diploma in Health and Safety and Environment.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience applying HSSE standards in a corporate environment, ideally with project/remote site experience.
  • Proven ability to manage interfaces with various stakeholders at different levels.
  • Experience measuring and reporting on social and environmental impacts of projects.
  • Experience in Health and Safety management in Renewable Energy projects is advantageous.
  • Capable of managing HSSE across multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Robust project management skills, including contract management, scheduling, planning, and budget control.
