RESPONSIBILITIES:

Review monthly management packs and statutory reports for the holding company, including preparation and presentation of variance analyses. Review divisional cost centres and engage with non-financial managers to support effective expense management. Collaborate with Financial Analysts (FAs) and Finance Managers (FMs) to prepare monthly forecasts that reflect performance trends and support forward-looking FinTech strategy. Review quarterly reporting packs for the holding company and provide insightful trend analyses. Oversee the preparation and submission of provisional tax calculations and annual tax returns for all entities. Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and three-year planning processes, including statutory submissions for the Flash Group. Conduct month-to-month (MTM) and year-to-date (YTD) variance analyses for Executive Committee (Exco) and General Managers (GMs). Partner with GMs and FAs to identify and address financial requirements aligned with the Group's strategic objectives. Ensure all financial processing complies with IFRS standards and local income tax legislation. Manage the timely delivery of monthly management accounts, adhering to strict month-end deadlines. Review and challenge annual budgets and three-year plans, providing strategic, value-added financial insights. Oversee all internal and external audit processes, ensuring full compliance and audit readiness. Take ownership of the annual group insurance renewal process and BBBEE compliance submissions. Work with the Divisional Head of Finance to develop and implement the financial strategy for the division. Act as a backup for all Finance Managers (FMs) as needed to ensure continuity of operations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

CA(SA) with 7-10 years of post-articles experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a senior finance operations or controllership role. A minimum of 5 years' experience managing a team. Demonstrated experience managing multi-entity group consolidations across complex organisational structures Experience working in a listed company environment is preferred. Industry experience in FinTech, Financial Services, or high-growth digital businesses is advantageous.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE / TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Strong understanding of accounting principles, month-end processes, and reconciliations Experience in managing GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions Ability to prepare, review, and interpret management accounts and variance analysis Knowledge of VAT, tax provisions, and statutory compliance (beneficial) High standards of integrity, accountability, and ownership
