Role Purpose

xe2x80x9cLOCATION: THE ROLE CAN BE BASED IN ANY OPCO.xe2x80x9dThe purpose of the Group Executive: Strategic Planning role is to lead and oversee the development, implementation, and management of the organization's strategic planning process. This involves analyzing market trends, assessing competitive landscapes, and identifying growth opportunities to formulate effective strategies that drive business performance and long-term success. Working closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders, the Strategic Planning Executive will provide strategic insights, recommend strategic actions, and facilitate strategic decision-making to ensure the organization's goals and objectives are aligned with market dynamics. By providing expertise in strategic thinking, analysis, and planning, this role will play a critical role in guiding the organization's strategic direction, fostering innovation, and enabling the organization to stay ahead in a dynamic and competitive landscape.

Develop and implement an effective strategic planning framework aligned with the organization's mission and vision. Monitor and evaluate industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes to identify emerging opportunities and potential risks. Facilitate the strategic planning process, including conducting SWOT analyses, scenario planning, and risk assessments.

Define and track key strategic objectives, milestones, and targets to measure progress and success. Drive the development of comprehensive strategic plans, including actionable initiatives, timelines, and resource allocation. Foster collaboration and alignment among various departments and stakeholders to ensure strategic goals are integrated and implemented.

Evaluate and recommend strategic partnerships, alliances, and acquisitions to enhance the organization's competitive position. Assess and optimize the organization's business portfolio and make recommendations for diversification or divestment. Establish and monitor metrics to assess the effectiveness and impact of strategic initiatives.

Conduct regular reviews and assessments of the organization's strategic performance, identifying areas for improvement and corrective actions. Provide strategic guidance and support to senior leadership in decision-making processes. Identify and evaluate emerging technologies, trends, and disruptive forces that may impact the organization's strategic direction.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, industry experts, and thought leaders to gain insights and perspectives. Conduct research and analysis to support strategic decision-making and provide market intelligence. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards in strategic planning processes.

Drive a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the organization's strategic planning function. Collaborate with finance and other departments to align strategic objectives with financial goals and budgets. Develop and implement strategies for effective communication and engagement of stakeholders in the strategic planning process.

Conduct periodic reviews and evaluations of the organization's strategic planning framework to ensure its relevance and effectiveness. Stay updated on best practices and trends in strategic planning and provide recommendations for process improvements and enhancements.

Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in business administration, finance, economics or related field: Essential

Master in Business Administration (MBA) or a relevant discipline: Essential

Certification in Strategic Planning (Certififed Strategic Planner xe2x80x93 CSP) or similar: Desirable

10+ Years Proven experience in strategic planning, business development, or a related role, preferably at a senior management level: Essential

8+ Years Excellent 5+ Years understanding of market dynamics, industry trends, and competitive landscapes: Essential

8+ Years Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategic plans, including setting objectives, defining initiatives, and monitoring progress: Essential

7+ Years Proven ability to drive change and foster innovation within an organization: Essential

8+ Years Strong business acumen and financial literacy, with the ability to align strategic objectives with financial goals: Essential

Experience in strategic consulting or advisory roles, providing strategic guidance to organizations: Desirable

5+ Years Familiarity with relevant industry regulations, compliance, and governance frameworks: Desirable
