Our client, a well-established and fast-growing leading restaurant group in Sea Point, Cape Town is looking for a skilled and reliable Griller to join their dynamic kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid grill experience, a strong work ethic, and a passion for producing quality food in a high-volume environment. Salary: R5,000 - R6,000 (live-out).
Description
Our client is seeking a dedicated Griller who can handle a busy pass, maintain consistency and quality, and work effectively as part of a fast-paced kitchen brigade. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar restaurant environment, understand proper cooking techniques, and be able to work cleanly, safely, and efficiently at all times.
This role requires someone who can communicate well, follow instructions, and maintain high standards under pressure. You will be responsible for grilling, prepping, station management, and supporting the broader kitchen team where needed.
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and grill menu items to company standards
• Ensure consistent portioning, presentation, and cooking quality
• Set up, maintain, and clean the grill station
• Follow proper hygiene and safety procedures at all times
• Assist with prep work and support the kitchen team during peak periods
• Communicate clearly with the kitchen team and FOH when required
• Ensure stock rotation, freshness, and minimal wastage
• Work efficiently during busy service windows while maintaining quality
• Follow company SOPs and maintain a high standard of professionalism

Remuneration

• R5,000 - R6,000 per month

Minimum Requirements

• Previous experience as a Griller in a restaurant kitchen
• Solid understanding of grilling techniques and food safety
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work under pressure
• Good communication skills and a team-player attitude
• Ability to follow instructions, maintain consistency, and manage a station independently
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Live-out position -- must be able to commute reliably to Sea Point
• Availability for shifts, weekends, public holidays, and peak periods
