Job Description

We are seeking the services of a dynamic professional to join our team as the Golf Manager.

The Golf Manager to oversees the day-to-day operations of the golf club and its facilities, ensuring an exceptional experience for members and guests. The role combines with golf coordination and financial administrative oversight.

This key leadership role is focused on elevating member and guest experiences and delivering operational excellence across the golf department, including staff training and supervision, customer service, tee time management, retail management, golf cart and caddie management, and tournament coordination.

Key Responsibilities:



Golf Operations & Coordination:



Manage and supervise all golf-related activities including tee time scheduling, starter and marshal coordination, and course play flow.

Oversee the pro shop operations including procurement, merchandising, sales, and inventory control.

Organize and coordinate golf tournaments, leagues, clinics, and member events.

Maintain compliance with all relevant local, provincial and national regulations.

Plan and play 18 holes of golf each week, with different local business or society managers, and new or potential future members, ensuring that separate individuals get to visit and play golf with 'the Professional' each year

Maintain excellent member and guest relations through high levels of customer service and personalized attention.

Ensure proper maintenance and presentation of the golf course in coordination with the Head Green Keeper.

Staff Management:



Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise golf operations staff including golf coordinators, receptionists, starters / marshals, pro shop assistants, and golf assistants.

Provide ongoing leadership, support, and performance evaluations to team members.

Ensure adherence to company policies, health and safety standards, and customer service expectations.

Financial Administration:



Manage the department budget including forecasting, expense control, and revenue analysis.

Process and reconcile daily sales and transactions; oversee point-of-sale systems and reporting.

Assist with annual planning, strategic initiatives, and financial reporting.

Monitor financial performance and develop strategies to achieve revenue and cost targets.

Marketing & Membership Support:



Assist in the development and execution of marketing strategies to promote events, memberships, and services.

Provide support for member engagement programs and all communication channels.

Foster relationships with local businesses and organizations to generate interest and increase participation.

Qualifications:



A PGA/LPGA certification. Proficient in Microsoft Office and golf management software (e.g. Clubmaster) Driver's License essential.

Experience



Minimum 3 years of experience in golf operations and/or club management. Experience in financial management, budgeting, and reporting. Proven leadership and team management skills

Pay: R20000,00 - R25000,00 per month
