Job Summary Duration Contract Our client, a well-established Construction Company in CT (N/subs) is seeking to appoint an experienced General Foreman. The successful applicant will fulfil all the necessary requirements with regards to the Companys operational activities at designated Projects that are being undertaken by the Company. Duties and responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Site set-up and layout. Managing and meeting project budgets and correctly account for billable hour. Defining project tasks and resource requirements. Management of on-site Staff and Sub-Contractors. Maintain Staff Attendance Registers. Ensuring site safety and OSHA requirements are fully met. On-time procurement of materials and equipment within approved limits. Maintain proper stock records of on-site materials. Maintain/replace site machinery as required. Meeting project timelines and milestones. Attending Site Meetings. Managing of quality and ensuring that quality standards are met. Provide on-the-job Toolbox Talks to Staff. Minimum Requirements: NQF Trade Certificate/Diploma (Bricklaying, Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, etc.) National Technical Certificate/Diploma in Construction. Proven experience as a General Foreman of at least 2 to 5 years. In depth knowledge of construction site Health, Safety & Environment requirements. Proven track record of having managed construction site Staff and Sub-Contractors. In-depth knowledge of project site dynamics, priorities and key focus areas. Valid Drivers License and own transport. Preferred Competencies: Excellent planning, organising, communication and interpersonal skills. Strong time management, interpersonal and organizational skills. Good decision making and problem-solving skills. Great attention to detail and Quality Control. A motivated self-starter who takes a proactive and solution driven approach.
