Introduction
Murray & Roberts Cementation invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of General Engineering Supervisor to be placed at Ivan Plats Platreef mine, in Mokopane, Limpopo. The successful candidate will report to the Site Engineer. The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates. Applications only open to South African Citizens / Permanent Residents.
Job description

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
xefxbbxbf Effective planning, construction and maintenance of plant and infrastructure

• Effective implementation and administration of necessary systems
• Manage budget control and forecasting
• Support the overall business management of the project
• Conduct risk analysis and mitigate quality management risks
• Competent, motivated, disciplined and positive team
• Effective self and team supervision in alignment with MRC values and leadership initiatives
• Effective stakeholder engagements
• Compliance with SHEQ, MRC and client standards, policies, procedures and safety protocols

Minimum requirements

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

• Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent
• Section 26 Recognised/Equivalent Trade Certificate relating to Electrical LV and MV field
• Proof of formal supervisory training in planning, Leading, Organising and control
• MS Office proficient [Word, Excel& MS Projects-ability to plan & schedule]
• Valid First aid Certificate
• Valid Medical certificate of Fitness
• Covid-19 Coronavirus Vaccination Certificate [Site Specific]
• Valid EB Driverxe2x80x99s license
• Good English verbal and written communication skills

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

• At least 10 years practical experience in the mining industry, appointed in a legal position, of which 5 years appointed as a GES in a legal position.
• At least 5 years experience in a Foreman supervisory level capacity
• At least 5 years practical experience on winders (preferred)
• Experience in writing procedures and conducting baseline and issues based risk assessment
