Job Description

Job Purpose




The Gaming segment will lead the Gaming Business Strategy and business objectives for Sun International, providing thought leadership and advice on measuring product performance, revenue growth, operational governance and service standards, as well as building strategic relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; and leading the integration of projects across business operations. The Gaming Insights Analyst will be responsible for the effective analysis, reporting and interpretation of gaming business information data to achieve and optimise business results and performance in the areas of slots and tables, through the application of data mining techniques and statistical analysis providing data driven intelligence to understand player performance data, product data, improve and streamline processes, and make recommendations for enhancements thereby supporting the business in maximizing revenue and achieving return on investment, providing services and promote Sun International's gaming brand as the casino brand of choice.

Education




B Degree (IT and / or statistics) Certification in SQL Database and Reporting is preferred

Experience




8 years experience in a gaming analytical or statistical role. Sound knowledge of gaming systems and understanding of all casino gaming business operations, cash desk operations and processes

Key Performance Arears




Responsible for preparing and conducting data analysis on gaming product performance and customer preferences to support the operationalisation of the Gaming Revenue Growth and Optimisation Strategy for implementation across the business units Translation of high level business objectives into technical system requirements and the development of robust, automated tools and dashboards of business performance and revenue results, based on research and benchmarked industry activity relative to Sun International performance Collection of data from data warehouse and various business systems as well as the data analyses relative to gaming areas e.g. determine optimal floor mix at each unit as per supply and demand models Developed standardized, automated reports and forecasting models that provide in-depth analyses and intelligent data that determine revenue forecasting in the tables and slots environments, as well as analysis of slot floor performance including machine types, denomination mix, player reinvestment strategies, special event capture rates, and layout. Designed reporting mechanisms which provide insight into Casino player trends such as theoretical, hold, comp ratios, market mix, and special event performance through data extraction, consolidation, manipulation, analysis and reporting of slot/table performance and changes in player behaviour Interpret and present results to business, providing insights out of data to support the gaming business in making decisions including product performance, necessary product changes and making recommendations on how to optimise the customer and other business process and operational profitability Design and execute gaming effectiveness measurements, such as automatic detection of floor changes or slot configuration changes and measurement against appropriate benchmarks, yield analysis of hourly table games bet minimums, etc. Complete Integrity analyses, such as reporting erroneous or incomplete data entry, slot machine win variances, dealer speed and revenue, customer reinvestment algorithms. Conduct price elasticity analysis in determining gaming minimums and maximums Collaborate with suppliers around new products, technologies and machine performance to further support new innovations and business requirements Be an active member of the of the Group Gaming Revenue Optimisation Workgroup to provide valuable insights and build and monitor BI solutions to guide business decisions Manage SLA with IT around technical requirements and support
