Job Description

Front Office Manager for a Boutique Hostel In Cape Town CBD

Only candidates with previous experience in a hotel or hostel will be considered.

The ideal candidate MUST have previous front office management experience on a senior, reservations/bookings experience essential. Strong communicator, previous experience in a similar role will set you apart. Any experience with a hotel PMS systems such as Opera, Cloudbeds, GAAP, Micros is beneficial.

Financial:



Must have a strong financial acumen Finance originates and leads financial practices and objectives that will provide a high performance culture that emphasises fiscal responsibility, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and effective business management. Ability to manage budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial compliance. Efficiently manages time and deadlines to ensure smooth office operations

Leadership and Supervision:



Manage and train a team of receptionists, security guards, Duty Managers Schedule staff shifts and handle HR-related tasks i.e leave requests Motivate and support staff to provide excellent customer service

Customer Service and Operations:



Oversee guest reservations, check-ins, and check-outs Address guest inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly Ensure timely and accurate service delivery Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area

Administrative Duties:



Monitor office supplies and order replacements Manage the front office budget Maintain records of guest information and financial transactions Prepare reports on customer feedback, bookings, and other metrics Manage stocktake and rostering Handle large group bookings with the reservations manager

Additional responsibilities may include:



Implementing and maintaining company policies and procedures Handling security protocols and troubleshooting emergencies Managing mail and courier distribution

Qualifications:

? Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a Management or leadership role. ? Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving skills. ? Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. ? Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. ? Proficient in computer software relevant to the industry (e.g. cash register systems). ? Working knowledge of property management systems (PMS).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: R14000,00 - R18000,00 per month
