Summary
Front of House Manager - Upmarket Catering - Cape Town
A premium corporate catering operation providing high-end food and beverage services to a luxury office environment. The venue features a 120-seater restaurant catering to approximately 600 professionals and their clients, offering five-star buffet and a la carte dining. A team of over 30 hospitality professionals ensures exceptional service delivery, managing approximately 300 meals per day during breakfast and lunch service.
Salary: R25 000 CTC neg
Start Date: As close to 15 December as possible (site opening early January 2026)
Days & Hours of Work:
Mainly Monday to Friday, operating hours from 7am to 5pm. Limited function work on weekends and evenings.
Description

  • Manage the Front of House team, including scheduling, discipline, and learning & development
  • Maintain stock control, issues, and requisitions
  • Oversee guest liaison, ensuring a consistent five-star service standard
  • Handle client relations, service quality, and complaint management
  • Ensure seamless coordination between kitchen and service teams
Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' management experience within a high-end hotel or restaurant environment
  • Matric
  • Relevant tertiary hospitality qualification highly advantageous
