Excellent Safari Lodge is looking for a FREELANCE TRAILS GUIDE for a 4-month period.
This safari destination is set within the Sabi Sands Reserve. It offers two distinct lodges. Many guests opt to combine their stay between the two, experiencing both perspectives of the bush.
In addition to the lodges, there is a private residence available for exclusive-use bookings, perfect for groups, weddings, or special celebrations. Guests can book individual rooms, an entire lodge, or even the full property.
The majority of visitors come from international markets, with a strong interest in seeing Africa's iconic Big Five - buffalo, rhinoceros, elephant, lion, and leopard. The atmosphere combines professionalism and efficiency with a welcoming, hands-on approach, ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable and engaging experience in the bush.
Candidate requirements;

• Must be a South African Citizen
• Preferably have experience in the Sabi Sands reserve
• Must have 3 to 5 years experience guiding in 5 Star Establishments
• Must be FGASA NQ4 or Professional
• NDT/Valid Driver's License and PrDP
• Valid First Aid Certificate
• Rifle Accreditations/ARH
• Trails Guide qualification with VPDA
• Astronomy knowledge advantageous
• Off-road driving in 4x4 vehicles
• General vehicle maintenance knowledge
• Basic knowledge of people management (managing Tracker)
• Good command of the English language, written and spoken
• Vigour, able to cope under pressure
• Highly sociable and confident when meeting new people and able to entertain/host
• A sense of fun and understanding of the Virgin way of doing things
• Well-groomed and a good sense of personal hygiene
