F&B Outlet Supervisor
Cape Town | On-site

Fixed-term Contract | Hourly Paid

You are a vibrant, energetic, and experienced F&B Supervisor and will be mainly responsible for jointly managing Square Restaurant, The Garden Lounge & Patio, and In-Room dining, ensuring that every one of our guests receives personalised attention every time.

Along withdelighting our guests by offering trendsetting and innovative products and outstanding service experiences, you will provide operational and administrative support to the Restaurant Manager and team. You will assist in achieving operational profitability by driving sales targets, managing costs, and setting and maintaining restaurant and In-Room dining standards.

Conducting regular guest service, menu, sales and standards training with staff so that they can offer world-class service to our guests will form part of your duties. You will lead teams of people, encouraging teamwork and personal accountability and promoting staff engagement and retention. This role will be part of managing staff processes such as personal presentation, recruitment, performance, and conduct.

Along with your Matric Certificate, you have a relevant qualification from a recognised South African or International Educational Institution and 2 years' current experience in a similar role in a busy, up-market hotel with a flexible approach and the ability to work shifts. You are computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications with an interest in and experience using various hospitality technology suites.

Maintaining a neat and professional appearance is expected in your role, complimenting your exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Your impressive knowledge of food and beverages, including cocktails, wines, and spirits, sets you apart. It's essential to have product knowledge of hotels, competitors, and the city. The ability to lead and manage a team is a key aspect of your role, alongside adept financial management. You display potent selling skills and possess the initiative to work independently.
