The Bay Hotel is currently seeking Food and Beverage floor Supervisors to join us on a CONTRACT from October to April.

The service Supervisor is responsible for providing friendly, tentative and timely service in order to create an exceptional experience. To assist in the day to day runningxe2x80x99s of the restaurant and to help ensure the Village & Life concepts, manuals, SOPS and LOGS are kept current and implemented at all times.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric
• Diploma in Hospitality management advantageous
• Previous experience in the same or similar position
• Familiar with the duties and responsibilities of the Food and Beverage Department

Duties and Responsibilities

Operations:

• Ensure service levels are maintained and sustained
• Ensure quality and concepts are implemented and maintained
• Ensure stock control system is maintained
• Ensure operational implementation of menu and wine policy
• Operate and present according to the guidelines of the Restaurant Custodian
• Ensure all SOPS and policies are being followed as set out by the company

Administration:

• Sign off monthly accounts
• Be familiar with guest staying at the hotel
• Maintain the F&B staff personal files and HR related matters

Managing:

• Assist in co-ordination and secure all functions and events
• Host and control all functions and events
• To liaise and maintain the aesthetics manual that would be handed to you
• Producing management reports as required

Human Resources:

• Ensure staff training is updated and signed for and that all evidence is in each staff members personal file
• Maintain the F&B staff personal files and HR related matters
• Schedule staff hours and assign duties for staff.
• Establish standards for personnel performance and customer service.
• Assist in recruitment of staff within agreed man-plan.
• Training and testing of staff.
• Maintain dress code standards
• Assist in conduction of performance appraisals
• Progressive discipline in conjunction with HR

General:

• Maintain database (Regulars, VIPxe2x80x99s)
• To ensure that restaurantxe2x80x99s reservations book and database is maintained
• Upsell F&B, accommodation and tourism services
• Inform guests of current specials
• Recognise guests who regularly visit the bar/restaurant
• Maintain DOT Sales and Marketing file
• Take responsibility of sales and targets of special events
