Matric

Valid code 10 + PDP

Mechanical background

Minimum of 2 years Fleet Experience

Key Outputs



Ensure SOP compliance in the execution of all duties and responsibilities.

Maintenance

Ensure that all vehicles are consistently maintained and serviced as per service records / requirements - own operations or vehicle under warranty by service provider.

Review mechanics' job cards to ensure quality workmanship.

Maintain one-day turnaround time for services.

Repairs - mechanical and technical

Make economic / financial decisions for the approval of repairs to vehicles based on:

- Weekly reports from hubs.

- Kilometre reading of vehicle.

- Condition of vehicle.

Investigate anomalies based on weekly reports and require hub to provide an explanation and / or motivation in such instances.

Turnaround times for repairs are based on the complexity of the procedure(s) required.

Review mechanics and technicians' job cards to ensure quality workmanship.

- Condition of vehicle.

- Extent of damage to vehicle.

Review panel beaters' job cards to ensure quality workmanship.

Panel beating

Make economic / financial decisions for the approval of repairs to vehicles based on:

- Kilometre reading of vehicle.

- Condition of vehicle.

- Extent of damage to vehicle.

Review panel beaters' job cards to ensure quality workmanship.

Licencing (legislative requirements)

Ensure that all RAM vehicles are licenced timeously.

Ensure that all vehicles always display valid licence disks

Ensure that stock is always fully accounted for via current and updated electronic inventories - flow of goods in and out is controlled and documented accurately and timeously.

Ensure that storage facility is organised and safe guarded - access to stock is limited and controlled.

Ensure the timeous ordering and purchasing of stock utilising the principle of economies of scale and following the correct purchase procedures.

Review all invoices for accuracy and ensure double approval before submission to Creditors.

Ensure that workshops are always fully functional and operational.

Ensure that workshops are equipped with the necessary tools and equipment to enable the efficient servicing and repairing of vehicles.

Ensure that the work environment is compliant with H&S requirements.

Ensure that all operations are in alignment with H&S standards.

Ensure consistent SOP compliance.

Determine schedules, sequences and assignments based on:

Hubs' specific requirements as reported weekly.

Vehicles due for servicing.

Vehicles that have been in accidents.

Ensure the timeous servicing and repairs of generators and other equipment as required.

Ensure that vehicle safety cages are built or repaired as per vehicle specifications.

Conduct inspections to first-hand ascertain the operational use of vehicles.

Execute ad hoc responsibilities in alignment with the requirements and standards of the applicable Manager.

Pay: R14000,00 per month

License/Certification:

Code 10 Drivers License with PDP (Required)
