NDC Personnel & Contractors has an awesome opportunity for a skilled and experienced Fitter and Turner to join the team at an FMCG supplier in the Western Cape.

Look forward to being an equipment guru who ensures everything runs like a dream. We want you to be like a machine psychic, foreseeing any potential hiccups and fixing them before they even become a problem.

Youxe2x80x99ll be behind continuous improvement, tracking and analysing machine breakdown trends, using some fancy maintenance system mojo to motivate equipment upgrades. If youxe2x80x99re into ad hoc projects, youxe2x80x99ll have some fun optimising the whole process flow!

Safety is key and youxe2x80x99ll be the guardian of food and health safety!

Youxe2x80x99ll also be the go-to coach, sharing your knowledge with and guiding Apprentices.

And guess what? We want you to train and coach the operators, too. SOPs and work instructions will be your thing to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Herexe2x80x99s the lowdown on the ideal candidate: A Red Seal trade test to show us that youxe2x80x99re a qualified Fitter and Turner; an N3 in Engineering Studies or related subject; and at least 5 years of experience in the FMCG/food manufacturing world.

We want you to have some serious expertise in the following, too: regulations and laws (OSH Act, GMP, Food Safety); pneumatics and maintenance system skills; as well as fault finding and root cause analysis. Checked all the boxes? Great stuff!
