Job Summary Job Title Property Financial Manager Establishment Type Boutique Hotel & Restaurant Location Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa Salary Package Market-related Live-out position Role Overview A well-established boutique hotel and restaurant in Cape Town is seeking a detail-oriented and commercially focused Property Financial Manager to oversee all on-site financial operations and controls. This role is responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, compliance with company procedures, and providing meaningful financial insight to support operational and strategic decision-making. This position requires strong hospitality finance experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with both operational and support office teams. Key Responsibilities Financial Operations & Controls Oversee all property-level finance functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with group SOPs Review and approve purchase orders and ensure correct budget allocation Manage cash flow, including petty cash and credit card reconciliations Validate daily revenue submissions and ensure timely financial reporting Maintain and reconcile fixed asset and operating equipment registers Oversee inventory controls, variance checks, and final system sign-offs Budgeting; Reporting & Analysis Drive and manage the annual budgeting process at property level Prepare and analyse management accounts with variance reporting Produce flash and projection reports to support business decisions Support pricing of extras and ancillary services in collaboration with operations Audit; Compliance & Internal Controls Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with company standards Assist with annual external audits and preparation of supporting documentation Collaboration & Stakeholder Management Act as the finance liaison between property and support office teams Work with HR on gratuities, staff deductions, and payroll-related finance matters Provide financial guidance and support to operational teams when required Minimum Requirements (Essential) Apply Below degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field Minimum 5 years' experience in finance, with at least 2 years in hospitality Strong MS Office skills, experience with accounting systems (Sage advantageous) Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospitality environment Clear and confident communicator, able to explain financial data to non-financial teams Advantageous Experience in boutique or luxury hospitality environments Experience working across both hotel and food & beverage operations Strong business partnering mindset with operational teams ?
