A key strategic leadership opportunity exists for an experienced Financial Director to take full ownership of financial direction and governance across a diverse, multi-entity Group. This role offers the chance to drive performance, enhance shareholder value, and play a pivotal role in shaping the Groups financial future.
Role Overview
The Financial Director will lead all aspects of finance strategy, governance, and operational excellence. The role requires both strategic oversight and operational rigour ensuring that the Group remains financially healthy, compliant, and positioned for sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Financial Leadership:
Ensure full compliance with the Companies Act, JSE regulations, and King IV. Oversee accurate, timely reporting and ensure financial systems and policies support the Groups current and future needs. * Risk & Controls:
Implement robust internal control frameworks and financial risk management systems. Lead the development of a group-wide risk and compliance matrix. * Business Partnering:
Collaborate closely with the CEO, CFO, and senior executives to evaluate investment opportunities, support commercial decision-making, and guide growth strategies including M&A activity. * Financial Operations Oversight:
Lead all core finance functions, including group reporting, forecasting, consolidation, and budgeting, ensuring high standards of financial integrity and discipline. * Leadership:
Empower and lead finance teams across the Groups entities. Build a culture of accountability, development, and high performance.
Qualifications & Experience
- CA(SA) with a proven track record in a senior finance leadership role (minimum 510 years, with 35 years at executive level)
- Strong command of IFRS, corporate governance frameworks, and compliance regulations
- Experience overseeing complex, multi-entity group structures
- Commercially astute with exceptional strategic, analytical, and leadership capability
