This full-time, in-house role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, multi-department environment and can confidently take ownership of financial controls and internal systems.
Key Responsibilities
Manage
daily bookkeeping
, including reconciliations, supplier accounts, and POS integration checks.
Oversee
cash controls
, cash-ups, floats, and variance investigations.
Implement and maintain
robust stock control systems
, including stock procedures, audits, GP tracking, cycle counts, and loss management.
Develop and improve
financial and operational procedures
across departments (retail, bakery, eatery).
Manage and mentor
office/admin staff
, ensuring accurate processing of invoices, GRVs, stock sheets, and HR paperwork.
Work closely with owners and department heads to produce weekly insights, variances, and operational improvements.
Requirements
Proven experience in finance, bookkeeping, or operations within retail, hospitality, or FMCG.
Strong understanding of stock systems and controls (advantage if experienced with deli/eatery environments).
High attention to detail and strong organisational ability.
Comfortable taking ownership and improving systems proactively.
Must be based onsite at The Barn daily.
Salary Range
R25,000 - R35,000 per month
, depending on experience.
