Role Overview

Kosmas Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to support the finance team. This role offers hands-on exposure to real-world financial operations, reporting, and accounting processes within a dynamic, multi-entity business environment.

The Finance Intern will assist with reconciliations, financial reporting, payment processing, and data validation, gaining practical experience with financial systems while supporting both local and UK-based stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with financial reconciliations across platforms such as Xero, Hammock, and related systems. Support the preparation of monthly financial reports and basic financial analysis for internal and external stakeholders. Assist with payment runs, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and on time. Conduct data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information. Support budget tracking and forecasting activities under supervision. Assist with general accounting duties, including invoice processing, expense tracking, and document management. Support the finance team with process improvements and ad hoc finance-related tasks as required.

Ideal Candidate

Currently studying towards or recently completed a degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. Comfortable working with financial software (experience with Xero, Hammock, or similar systems is advantageous). Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with strong data handling and basic analysis skills. Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly. Eagerness to learn and develop within a professional finance environment.
