Our client in based in the exquisite setting of the Atlantic Seaboard is looking for a confident and technically strong accountant to join and take charge of one of their business divisions. If you have experience in the full accounting function as well as cost of sales, we want to hear from you!
Preparation of monthly Management Account packs
Ensure all HOD receive and sign for department financial results
Compile monthly balance sheet reconciliation file and ensure integrity of financial statement line items
Ensure generated revenue is accurate and imported to accounting software package
Ensure monthly stats reports are created and correct
Analysis of cost vs budget
Identify cost saving opportunities
Review reconciled expenditure reports
Assist with cost control requirements
Calculate and reconcile VAT payable
Annual income tax calculations and submission for review
Ensure accuracy of month revenue journal
Accurately capture all project management related activities and fees
Homeowner profile and fee structure maintenance
Ensure home owner statements are completed on time
Check and release electronic bank statements
Petty cash count and reconciliation monthly
Ensure cash flow forecast is done monthly
Procurement - Secure best products and pricing structures
Ensure order protocol is followed
Performed detailed analysis and review on Cost of Sales
Stock Control including monthly and spot stock counts
Stock journals
Ensure accurate and timely submission of time sheet journals to payroll department
Ensure integrity and maintenance of fixed asset register
Monthly depreciation journals
Accounts receivables monthly
Compile annual budgets and submit for approval
Review budgets and expenses for variables
Preparation of rolling estimate forecasts
Creditors reconciliations and age analysis monthly
Prepare annual audit files
Investigate and respond to audit queries
Maintain and build strong relationship with the rest of the team
Develop and maintain relationships with outside vendors
Adhoc request where necessary
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience performing similar tasks
Hospitality, Restaurant or FMCG/Retail sector experience highly beneficial
Able to travel to Camps Bay timeously daily
Qualification:
Matric
Minimum of a BCom Finance Qualification
Completed articles will be beneficial
