Role Purpose
To support the Group Finance Technologies (GFT) team by assisting with finance-related system processes, reporting, analysis, and control activities, while applying academic financial knowledge in a structured, technology-enabled environment designed to build practical experience and professional capability
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE:
Microsoft Office Suite
Basic financial accounting principles
Period-end concepts (accruals, journals, reconciliations)
Cost vs revenue concepts
Segregation of duties
Data accuracy and validation principles
Audit awareness and evidence concepts
How finance systems or ERPs support financial processes
Logical, structured problem-solving
Step-by-step business processes

Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Accounting or Finance

Duties & Responsibilities
INTERNAL PROCESS:
End-to-end Group Finance process flows
Period-end and year-end support activities
Transaction lifecycle from source to financial reporting
Interdependencies between Finance, IT, and business units
Logging, tracking, and resolving finance-related support queries
Root-cause analysis for recurring issues
Communication with users and stakeholders
Control execution within the finance system processes
Evidence collection and documentation standards
Support for internal and external audit requests
Testing and validation of changes
Updating process documentation and user guides
Identifying opportunities for standardisation and automation
CLIENT PROCESS
