Finance and Admin Manager

A private hospital based in Randburg is seeking a mature and well-seasoned Finance and Admin Manager for the Hospital. Healthcare experience in a private hospital is critical.

The candidate will be responsible for managing the finance and administrative function in line with accounting standards and within corporate governance protocols.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the financial management of the hospital, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Develop and monitor annual budgets in collaboration with department heads an/ or Board.
  • Implement and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and other financial transactions.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Administer employee benefit programs and ensure compliance with labour laws.
  • Oversee the administrative function of the hospital, including patient services and administration.
  • Supervise finance and administrative staff and provide leadership to ensure efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with department heads to streamline financial and administrative processes and improve overall efficiency.
  • Implement and enforce policies and policies and procedures related to administrative functions.
  • Take full responsibility for patient billing and collection of outstanding debt.
  • Good understanding of the funder market
  • Prepare quarterly financial risk review.
  • Present an interpret financial statements to the Board of directors.
  • Ensure the financial stability and sustainability of the hospital.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Streamline administrative processes to enhance overall efficiency.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the finance and administration team.

Qualification Required
  • Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance and administration role, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Strong knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and accounting principles
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in the healthcare industry
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal
