The Role
As a Field Technician, you'll be responsible for commissioning, servicing, and maintaining advanced battery systems at customer sites. You'll play a key role in ensuring reliability, performance, and client satisfaction - from fault diagnosis to full system integration.
This role combines technical fieldwork with customer interaction and administrative accuracy, offering the chance to work with cutting-edge renewable technologies in diverse environments.
Key Responsibilities
Commission, repair, and maintain battery energy storage systems (BESS) and associated equipment.
Conduct site acceptance testing (SAT), diagnostics, and performance analysis.
Provide on-site and remote support to clients, ensuring timely issue resolution.
Investigate and report system failures, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Coordinate with engineering and production teams to improve system reliability and performance.
Manage tools, parts, and field stock to support efficient service delivery.
Complete administrative tasks including service ticketing, reporting, and ERP updates.
Ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety standards at all times.
Qualifications & Experience
Technical Diploma / BTech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Trade Test (Electrician/Red Seal/Wireman's License) or PV GreenCard highly advantageous.
3-5 years' technical experience in electrical systems, renewables, or battery energy storage.
Strong understanding of AC/DC power fundamentals and inverter systems.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
Proficiency in MS Office; experience with ERP systems (Zoho preferred).
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in field conditions.
