The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of strawberry cultivation, including fertigation, spraying, harvesting, and packing. You will play a critical role in ensuring the farm's productivity, quality, cost-efficiency, and employee performance, while fostering a positive and high-performing team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee daily production activities across all strawberry cultivation blocks.
Develop and execute fertigation and spraying programs tailored to crop growth stages.
Monitor plant health and implement proactive crop management strategies.
Organize and supervise the picking and packing operations to ensure optimal fruit quality, shelf life, and compliance with market standards.
Lead the daily, weekly, and seasonal workforce planning to optimize employee productivity.
Manage labor and operational costs to achieve production targets within budget.
Foster teamwork, motivation, and a strong work ethic among field and packhouse staff.
Implement training programs to continuously upskill staff on best farming and quality practices.
Monitor and record input usage (fertilizers, chemicals, labor hours) for accurate cost tracking and reporting.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and food safety regulations.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
Coordinate closely with logistics and sales teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of produce.
Requirements:
Minimum of
4 years' hands-on experience
in strawberry production or intensive horticulture farming.
Strong technical knowledge of

Proven experience managing a large team, with a focus on employee productivity and performance.
Sound understanding of cost control principles and operational budgeting.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to foster a team culture and drive employee engagement.

Familiarity with quality control systems, food safety standards (e.g., GlobalG.A.P.), and farm certifications.
Ability to work under pressure, especially during peak harvesting periods.
Valid driver's license (if required).
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree or diploma in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy, or a related field.
Experience with farm management software and precision farming tools.
