Colenso Area - KwaZulu-Natal:
This is a mixed farming operation consisting of 450ha crop farming under irrigation and game farming. If you have the necessary experience in cropping and game with a strong maintenance ability, this position could be for you.?
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Agricultural Diploma / Degree advantageous. Min of 3 years previous farm management experience. Experience in the following:
o Cropping - maize, soyabean & wheat.
o Game farming.
o Maintenance orientated.
Ability to speak Zulu. Ability to operate tractors and all farm related equipment. Valid driver's license.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
Management of staff. Management of buffalo herds. General maintenance, basic building works, repairs to plant & equipment etc. Assisting with planting & harvesting of crops. Running irrigation systems. Game fence construction and maintenance. Anti-Poaching tasks.
