About Us The Farm is a premier crop and multi-species livestock operation along the stunning Sani Pass corridor. We manage, maize, potatoes, cattle, sheep, horses, chickens, camels, ostriches, donkeys, llamas, zebra, and trout in lake/aquaculture systems.
We're seeking a proactive, experienced Farm Manager to lead daily operations, drive sustainable farming practices, and ensure animal welfare, regulatory compliance, and profitability.
What You'll Do
Lead daily farm operations across livestock care, housing, breeding, feeding, and health monitoring; oversee crops where applicable.
Plan annual and seasonal farming programs, budgets, and production schedules to optimize yields and efficiency.
Manage health programs (vaccinations, parasite control, biosecurity), emergency plans, and meticulous record-keeping.
Supervise and develop farm workers, contractors, and seasonal staff; handle HR coordination with HR/Accounting.
Control budgets, manage inventory (feed, seeds, fertilizers, veterinary supplies), and place orders via head office processes.
Maintain and repair equipment, fencing, water systems, and farm infrastructure.
Ensure compliance with safety, labour, animal welfare, and environmental regulations; prepare regular reports.
Use farm management tools to track livestock, feed, yields, expenses, and revenue.
Who You Are
5+ years of progressive farm management experience, ideally with multi-species livestock and some crop/land exposure.
Strong knowledge of animal husbandry, nutrition, health monitoring, welfare standards, and biosecurity.
Comfortable with large or exotic species handling (zebra, camels, ostriches) and aquaculture basics.
Proven leadership, budgeting, inventory control, and HR coordination skills.
Proactive, organized, and data-driven with excellent communication.
