We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Factory Technician. To provide technical support and maintenance services in the production department of the factory, ensuring efficient operation of machinery and equipment to meet production targets and quality standards.
Core Activities:
Assembly and Production:
The primary responsibility of a factory technician would be to participate in the assembly and production of sockets and plugs. This includes following assembly instructions, operating machinery, and ensuring that products are assembled correctly and efficiently.
Quality Control Inspection:
Conducting quality control inspections on finished products to ensure that they meet the company's quality standards and specifications. This may involve visual inspections, measurements, and functional testing to identify any defects or issues.
Maintenance and Repair:
Performing routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment used in the manufacturing process to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance. This includes tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, and minor repairs.
Troubleshooting:
Identifying and diagnosing technical issues or problems that arise during the production process, such as equipment malfunctions or assembly errors. Factory technicians should have the skills to troubleshoot these issues quickly and effectively to minimize downtime.
Inventory Management:
Monitoring inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure adequate supplies for production. This may involve tracking inventory levels, replenishing supplies, and reporting any discrepancies or shortages
Safety Compliance:
Adhering to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all employees. This includes following safety procedures, using personal protective equipment (PPE), and reporting any safety hazards or incidents.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to production activities, quality control inspections, maintenance tasks, and inventory management. This may involve completing production reports, logging maintenance activities, and documenting any issues or incidents that occur during the production process.

Requirements:
Education: N3 Certificate in Mechanical or related trade (trade papers are an advantage)
Experience: 2+ years in a manufacturing or mechanical environment, preferably with moulding and crimping machinery
Strong mechanical aptitude
Proficient use of hand tools and measuring instruments (callipers, micrometres, dial indicators, etc.)
Basic fault finding and critical thinking skills.
Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems
Electrical systems
Ability to read mechanical drawings and specifications.
Factory floor-based role
