Introduction

Purpose of the Role To assist the Factory Manager in the daily operations, production planning, and management of the Aluminium Division. The role is intended to serve as the Factory Manager's second-in-command (2IC) to ensure business continuity and operational efficiency.

Duties & Responsibilities

Support the Factory Manager in all day-to-day factory operations. Supervise production teams and ensure work is completed on time and to quality standards. Manage workflow, production planning, and job scheduling. Operate and program CNC 3-axis machinery. Oversee costing and quotations using Bizzman or Starfront systems. Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and housekeeping standards. Monitor and maintain stock levels, materials, and production equipment. Assist with staff management, training, and performance monitoring. Ensure smooth communication between production, sales, and installation teams. Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum 3-5 years' experience in an aluminium fabrication or manufacturing environment. Experience with CNC 3-axis programming and operating (essential). Working knowledge of Bizzman or Starfront costing/program systems. Strong understanding of factory operations and workflow management. Leadership or supervisory experience within a production environment. Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
