Job Description

An aviation company based in Gauteng is seeking a dynamic Facilities Manager. The ideal candidate will ensure that airport facilities are well-maintained and proactively managed. Responsibilities include overseeing maintenance staff, tenants and budgets, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations, and planning for future facility needs through accurate forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee maintenance work and management of a maintenance team. Ensure compliance with policies and regulations. Conduct inspections and perform repairs. Maintain equipment and manage stock. Plan and budget for maintenance projects. Draft reports and monitor expenses. Manage relationships with contractors and service providers. Deal with and manage relationships with tenants. Human Resource functions and training of maintenance staff.

Skills:

Leadership and management skills. Assertiveness Expenditure and planning skills. Sound maintenance and repair skills. Attention to detail and communication. Health & Safety orientation.

Requirements:

Matric or equivalent. 3+ years of management-level experience in building maintenance. 3+ years of experience with electrical systems and civil engineering. 3+ years of experience with maintenance of retail property and aviation buildings at management level. Proven experience in dealing with tenants in the commercial trade and other properties. High proficiency in English.
