Our client, an established and very busy dealership in Kwazulu-Natal is seeking to employ a Qualified Diesel Technician.

Position: Experienced Diesel Technician
Location: KZN xe2x80x93 King Cetshwayo District xe2x80x93 100 km North of Durban
Salary: Basic dependent on experience / Stand By allowance / Over time / Incentives (No Medical aid contribution)

• Our client, an established and very busy dealership in Kwazulu-Natal is seeking to employ a Qualified Diesel Technician that is self-motivated, friendly, and hardworking. This position is brand specific, either of the following:
• VW / Mercedes Benz / Hino / Fuso

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid South African Code 14 Driverxe2x80x99s License xe2x80x93 Non-Negotiable.
• Senior Certificate
• Merseta Trade Test Certificate
• Training Schedule from current and previous dealerships
• Fully stocked toolbox.

SKILLS:

• Excellent communication skills
• Able to take instructions and complete tasks.
• Work Independently
• Take initiative without overstepping boundaries.

EXPERIENCE:

• In a commercial dealership - Min 5+ years
• Diagnostic systems

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Must be able to perform various tasks such as:
• Minor and Major Services
• Engine Remove and replace
• Engine Strip & Assemble
• Gearbox Remove & Replace
• Braking Systems
• Steering
• Suspension
• Differentials
• Electrical Diagnostics
• Mechanical Diagnostics
• Available to be on 24hr Stand By to assist with break downs.
• Available to work in shifts when needed.
• Available to workover time when needed.
