To serve as the strategic and operational integrator within the Office of the CEO (the Office), ensuring seamless coordination of internal workflows, executive support, and governance-related activities.
Provide high-level executive support to the Office, including advanced diary management, meeting preparation, and strategic scheduling aligned with corporate priorities and governance cycles.
Act as a central coordination point for internal and external engagements, ensuring timely preparation, alignment, and follow-through on Office commitments.
Enable the quality assurance function for all outputs from the Office of the CEO, including briefing notes, communiques, reports, and stakeholder correspondence, ensuring consistency, professionalism, and alignment with IDC's tone and standards.
Maintain and manage the Office communications calendar, including speech inputs, messaging, and internal leadership communications.
Collaborate within the Office to ensure governance deliverables (e.g., board packs, resolution trackers, parliamentary submissions) are prepared, reviewed, and submitted on time.
Act as a trusted internal liaison, fostering collaboration across executive functions and ensuring that the Office operates with agility, confidentiality, and strategic cohesion.
Qualification and Experience
Relevant Bachelor's degree (for e.g. Public Administration, Business, Political Science).
Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field will be an advantage
Project Management qualification will also be advantageous
The preferred candidate will have a minimum of 5-8 years of experience in executive support, assistance, strategic coordination, or governance environments
Exposure to public sector, development finance, or regulated environments is advantageous.
The candidate must have an appreciation of the role of the IDC

Roles and Responsibilities
Strategic coordination and internal liaison
Coordinate internal workflows, documentation, and task tracking across the Office
Serve as liaison between the Office and internal forums (Exco, Board Committees, Strategy, Secretariat, etc.).
Track follow-ups and commitments arising from the Office engagements using advanced tools, e.g., Microsoft Planner and SharePoint.
Engage both internal and external stakeholders as required, to understand and respond to the request or business need and or obtain additional information
To undertake key analysis or diagnosis of the business or administrative need and propose suitable approach and or response to the matter at hand
Executive support and diary management
Manage protocol, travel, meeting logistics for the Office, and ensure seamless coordination of engagements.
Manage and lead the Office calendar and ensure strategic prioritisation of engagements with the Senior Manager.
Prepare meeting packs, pre-briefs, post-meeting summaries for internal and external engagements.
Coordinate logistics for the Office events, stakeholder meetings, and internal workshops.
Ensure alignment between diary, strategic priorities, and governance cycles.

Review and quality-check all outgoing documents for tone, format, and strategic alignment.
Maintain document templates, branding standards, and version control protocols.

To drive critical thinking, analysis and assessment of implications, identification of patterns, making connections of underlying issues, and the ownership of the outcome.
To ensure all responses and undertakings are in line with relevant policies, systems and procedures of the Corporation
To optimise service delivery in a manner that address clients' needs and is in line with the customer service charter of the Corporation
Resource Management/Optimisation
Prepare annual budgets as required
Track, monitor and report on budget outcomes and variances
Address budget variances or discrepancies and report resolutions
Drive financial prudence and cost efficiency management in all related activities (e.g. travel, training, stationary, etc.)
