KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Develop and manage the implementation of divisional strategy and annual performance plans;
Permit administration and management.
Cross-border road transport regulation.
Stakeholder relations management.
Research and knowledge management.
Establish viable and feasible cross-border road transport business and financing regulatory model, and
People Management and budget.
COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge and application of models, processes, and procedures;
Advanced computer skills;
Stakeholder Management;
Permit/Licensing management value-chain, management process and procedures;
Ability to translate strategy into operations;
Discretion in handling confidential information;
Ethical, attention to detail, integrity and highly confidential.
REQUIREMENTS Formal Qualifications:
Degree or NQF level 7 qualification, preferably in Law or related discipline
Post-graduate degree qualification at NQF level 8 in Law or Transport Management or related discipline will be an added advantage
Experience:
10 years' experience in a road transport regulatory environment.
5 years at Senior Management level and interaction with Regulatory Bodies will be an added advantage.
Extensive, up to date knowledge of Transpo-related legislation, in the SADC region
