EXECUTIVE CHEF

Area: KwaZulu Natal, Riverhorse Valley

Position: Executive Chef

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: Market Related

A food and catering business that is based in Durban is seeking an Executive Chef to oversee the kitchen personnel and ensure high quality services for corporate clients.

The Executive Chef will be responsible for planning menus and recipes to meet customer demand while maintaining brand standards. Working with suppliers to obtain high quality ingredients that meet company standards. Training kitchen staff on proper food preparation techniques, menu planning, and food safety procedures.

Executive Chef Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Kitchen Operations
  • Ensure high quality food services for corporate events
  • Menu planning, design, and pricing
  • Supplier and Vendor Management
  • Develop corporate standards for every account to develop consistency, quality, and food safety
The essential requirements:
  • Hold a relevant Higher Education NQF Level 6 minimum (Culinary related)
  • Has a minimum of 5 years in a senior similar role (Exec or Head Chef) and relevant experience -Food Services/Corporate Catering
  • Currently resides in in Durban or surroundings and willing to relocate
  • Has reliable transport
