Our client, a dynamic UK-based Events company, is currently expanding their team and seeking an experienced Event Manager based in South Africa to support the planning and execution of their growing portfolio of UK events.
This is an exciting remote opportunity for a skilled events professional in South Africa to take the lead on a variety of projects - ranging from bespoke private functions to large-scale public experiences. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving event operations, liaising with the UK-based team, and actively identifying new business opportunities within the events space.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage all event operations, from intimate gatherings to major showcases
• Oversee event logistics including venues, vendors, travel, and accommodation
• Build and maintain relationships with aggregators, clients, and stakeholders
• Manage event calendars, booking platforms, listings, and lead pipelines
• Create and present compelling proposals, pricing, and event packages
• Handle event compliance and ensure documentation is up to date
• Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure effective promotion of all events
• Resolve any issues in real-time during events and deliver post-event evaluations
• Proactively pitch for new events and growth opportunities

What Were Looking For

• A natural organiser with a flair for problem-solving
• 3+ years of experience in event management
• Strong administrative, project management, and communication skills
• Previous experience sourcing and pitching for events
• Familiarity with UK event planning (preferred but not essential)
• Able to thrive under pressure and juggle multiple priorities

Bonus Points If You Have

• A relevant qualification in event management or hospitality
• Experience working across international time zones
• A strong network within the UK events or hospitality scene
