Job Description


Event Management:

  • Receive event queries and quote clients accordingly for their event.
  • Ensure clients are invoiced by the Finance department and payment is received before their event.
  • Arrange the relevant staff to work the event and a driver to transport equipment to the event. Ensure staff working the event are trained to set up the event and communicate with the client.
  • Ensure staff working the event are dressed appropriately and look presentable.
  • Ensure packing checklists are done for all events and the correct products and infrastructure are sent to the event. In this regard, the Employee is required to oversee the packing process with the Packing Department to ensure all products and equipment is packed for the event.
  • Ensure staff hours for events are submitted to Human Resources/Finance Department for payment.
  • Customer engagement before and during the events. In this regard, the Employee is required to be contactable after hours to deal with any events issues.
  • If required, attend the event for set-up to greet the client and ensure that all equipment and products are properly set up for the event. Any issues must be properly dealt prior to leaving the event.
  • Management of customer complaints during the events, when/if they arise.
  • Request production of stock in a timeous manner. In this regard the Employee must communicate directly with the Head of Production to manage stock production for the events.
  • Event reporting- set up meeting- report on targets, updates, issues, and any other relevant information- reports due weekly.
Event Business Development:
  • Bring in new leads and continuously look for eventing opportunities
  • Continuously innovate the eventing offering
  • Work hand in hand with the marketing department to ensure all eventing catalogues are current and up to date and to seek marketing opportunities
Event Equipment:
  • Ensure event equipment is kept in a presentable manner.
  • Conduct weekly stock take of the event stock.
  • Branding- working with the marketing team to rebrand event equipment when required.
E-commerce and Customer Management:
  • Work with the product development and marketing departments to ensure all new products are on the website.
  • Communicate with the kitchen and product development departments on products that are out of stock and ensure the website is updated accordingly.
  • Ensure all online orders are communicated to the kitchen and logistics departments to ensure all orders are delivered timeously.
  • Communicate with clients when their order has been received and again should there be a delay/problem with their order.
  • Deal with all customer complaints in a timely manner.
  • Deal with all customer enquiries
