Rondebosch Boys' High School, in conjunction with Optima Trusts is offering an exciting teacher internship position for an aspiring teacher in either English Home Language OR Physical Sciences in 2026. Qualified teachers are unfortunately not eligible.
This opportunity allows for a real teaching experience in a highly functioning school as well as the possibility of full-time employment should an English Home Language or Physical Sciences post become available in 2027.
Applicants must be enrolled in a PCGE or final year BEd programme in English Home Language Teaching OR Physical Sciences Teaching through correspondence in 2026.

Duties and Responsibilities
Co-teaching English Home Language/Physical Sciences classes at Rondebosch Boys' High School for the duration of the year
Assisting the Subject Department with various programs/tutoring as needed
Mentoring by an experienced, qualified teacher
Involvement in other learning areas as per the candidate's qualifications
Participation in the varied extra-curricular activities at RBHS
