The Contract Manager will work closely with the Project and Construction Managers and manage the NEC contracts, claims, compensation events, commercials, legal, risks and governance aspects of the various projects and company. Key responsibilities will be:Preparation, drafting and management of NEC correspondence and associated communication registers, Early Warnings, Contract RiskRegisters, Claims and Compensation events between Jacobs and its customers and subcontractors/vendorsChampion the contractual change management process, which includes drafting and review of change orders, claims and compensation events, back charges and penalties, management and resolution of incoming claims in relation to customers, subcontractors and key vendorsCompiling, generating, reviewing, managing, and defending of compensation eventsFocal point for promoting awareness on contracts provisions, and tracking and timely issuance of notifications, monitoring of milestones and payment in cooperation with the project teamManaging the contracts lifecycle from bid negotiation, through to project execution and warranty phases, including the review and draft of amendments, contractual documents, renewal of contracts, contract reviews, organize contract induction meetings, issue reports, interpretations and assessments on contractsVerifying, in conjunction with dedicated departments, that all insurances and guarantees required by the contracts and subcontracts are in placeCooperation and liaison with Jacobs corporate functions, e.g. projects, finance, legal, compliance, IP on specific matters and possible disputesWith the support of Jacobxe2x80x99s international Commercial Management resources, ensure that Jacobs Clean Energy SA complies with all Jacobxe2x80x99s and local commercial and legal governance requirements, and develop in this role to eventually perform the commercial management role locallyHerexe2x80x99s What Youxe2x80x99ll Need:Degree in law or appropriate technical qualification (Quantity Surveying, Engineering or Commercial)Proven knowledge of NEC suite of contractsContracts administration experience xe2x80x93 NEC experience is essential (other, FIDIC, JBCC)Relevant technical / construction project industry experienceNegotiating with customers, suppliers and subcontractorsBuilding and managing relationships with customersMonitoring the contract progress of projectsProviding direction to the project managers and project teamsIdentifying and managing commercial risks and commercial management experienceCommercial strategy and the commercial direction of projects and the businessJacobs Interface management and Group Policy ImplementationOur CultureOur values stand on a foundation of safety, integrity, inclusion and diversity.
