Electrical Engineer - Project Site FTC - Northern Cape
Our client, a leading international mining company, has an exciting opportunity for a seasoned and self-driven Electrical Engineer with a proven track record in the mining industry.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible to plan, organize, manage, direct, coordinate and implement electrical related aspects of all packages within the project.
- SHEQ compliance.
- Work with business partners as project coordinator to resolve day-to-day engineering/site related issues.
- Monitor project tasks and schedule and ensure compliance to plan.
- Track project performance, analyze key risks and highlight in advance.
- Quantity certification & quality checks.
- Ensure project completion within time & budget.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
- Min 8-10 years of relevant experience.
- Proven working experience in project execution through EPC/Construction partners.
- Thorough understanding of Electrical aspects of equipment for the concentrator plant MV/LV systems.
- Experience in erection, testing, and commissioning of Green/Brown field projects from concept stages, tender preparation & bid adjudication, review of detailed engineering design, till project hand over to operation team.
- Good knowledge of Mine Health and Safety Act and Environmental Management principles, practices, and statutory requirements.
