We are seeking a visionary Social Studies and Geography/History Teacher who is passionate about nurturing young minds and fostering an appreciation for human societies, geographical phenomena, and historical events. Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the High School Principal, the incumbent will be responsible to: Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans for Social Studies (Grades 8-9) and Geography/History (Grades 10-12), aligning with our educational goals. Utilize technology to enhance curriculum delivery and engage students in interactive learning. Assess student performance with an emphasis on examination success, offering constructive feedback for continuous improvement. Lead extracurricular activities and projects that extend learning beyond the classroom, emphasizing the real-world application of knowledge. Collaborate with colleagues for curriculum integrity, resource sharing, and professional growth. Stay abreast of educational trends, incorporating innovative methodologies and tools into teaching practices.

Key Requirements:

A relevant bachelor's Degree in Education or related field (preferred). Registered with SACE, adhering to its standards and ethics. Strong knowledge of History and Geography Curricula (CAPS-aligned). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Passion for working with students from socio-economically disadvantaged communities. Competence in facilitating higher-order thinking, problem-solving, and inquiry-based learning. Applicants must be willing to obtain the Microsoft Certified Educator (MCE) certification within six months of appointment and maintain active status as a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert (MIEE).
