Education Communications Manager: Financial Services/Education Organisation - Cape TownPreviously disadvantaged candidates will be given preference.A fantastic hybrid opportunity has become available in Cape Town for a passionate, Mid-weight Communications Manager at an established, national membership organisation in the financial services/education space.In this role as Education Communications Manager, you will be responsible for providing professional technical, operational, and administrative guidance to a strong team of administrators throughout the delivery process for all the organisationxe2x80x99s education programmes/projects.The key pillars of this stimulating role are threefold: writing, communications, and administration. As such we are looking for a candidate from a PR background with experience in writing and communications, who is able to effectively communicate the organisationxe2x80x99s products and offerings to a Gen Z market across multiple digital channels. As there is also a strong administrative element to the role, candidates must also be willing to take on these responsibilities.The Education Communications Manager will manage a team of four, so it is vital that you have previous team management experience.The role requires strategic member communication throughout the education programme development and execution process, implementation, programme progress monitoring, evaluating and high-level reporting. A critical deliverable is the segmentation of their student population into distinct cohorts that exhibit similar profiles. Apply today!ResponsibilitiesManagement & CommunicationPreparing and implementing communication plans about all education related matters with members. This includes scheduled and regular communication about processes, such as exam updates, reminders and other education related mattersCommunication tools include all digital communication tools e.g., social media, website, digital marketing at events, email, and WhatsApp channelEngaging in development dialogues and conducting performance reviews for education administrative staffPOPIA: Managing and safeguarding sensitive data and records with confidentiality and integrityEnsuring a consistent flow of information to and from the team on the ground, and to proactively communicate when issues arise, and when necessaryConduct thorough analysis aimed at identifying students in need of targeted communication and support, to facilitate their progress along the curriculum and designation pathwayCreate and edit the student guide for publication annually as the main source of information related to the student journey to qualification.Education AdministrationMonitoring the administration of all education activity transactions and resolving queries for escalation that arise of an administrative natureFacilitating the final exam grade upload process and the publication of exam results on the database, and through communication platforms e.g., website / social mediaIdentification of new fellow qualifiers for publication each semesterMaintain responsibility for the upkeep of accurate academic records for members in the databaseRecommendation of adjustments to system functionality to accommodate member experience and administrative needs. This includes allocation of staff testing plans as new developments are releasedCoordinate the Education calendar with the team and ensure timeous publication internally and externallyManagement of the academy bursary process for members in need of financial supportCoordinating and updating the web shop and catalogue for course materialsFinal approval of administrative processes such as education transaction refunds, final exam, and Work Based Learning bulk processing.Process ReportingMaintain oversight of all educational activities including Education Support Initiatives (ESI) and Normative Skills workshop and provide reporting on processes, member feedback, and other trendsProvide data and report on developments in the Work Based Learning system, collate feedback from members, supervisors and assessors on the efficiency and effectiveness of the Work Based Learning system and processesRegular reporting to member engagement executive on team insights and outcomes in alignment with various committee and board report requirements.RequirementsThe successful candidate must have/be:Matric with a tertiary NQF level 6 + qualificationAt least 3-5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience at a management level in communication and client engagement or a related roleEffective communication is the foundation of this role, it requires excellent written and verbal skills and understanding of the different communication toolsUnderstanding of Learning Management Systems and CRM alignmentProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Strong organisational, management and report writing skillsThe ability to create and implement communication plans using various tools of communicationThe capability to lead and manage administrative staff, providing guidance, training, and supportAbility to work independently and in a team, managing the frontline member engagement team with multiple priorities effectivelyThe ability to adapt to changes and unexpected situations in a dynamic work environmentEnsuring an elevated level of service when dealing with all internal and external stakeholders, with a clear focus on member experienceAptitude to identify issues and develop solutions to address administrative challenges effectivelyAbility to collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations.Please submit a relevant writing portfolio along with your CV on application.Should you not receive a response within one week, please consider your application unsuccessful.City: Cape Town, HybridCountry: South AfricaLevel of Expertise: MidRemuneration: NegotiableReference Number: #Tam751 Tamara WolpertGM & Consultanttamara@vgp.co.zaReport job
