Job Description

Creating a safe, stimulating environment to nurture holistic child development (cognitive, social, emotional, physical) through play-based learning, planning & delivering age-appropriate activities, observing & documenting progress, maintaining open parent communication, and managing classroom needs like hygiene and safety, preparing children with foundational skills for future schooling.

Core Responsibilities

Curriculum & Learning:

Plan and implement play-based lessons focusing on literacy, numeracy, motor skills, creativity (art, music, drama), and social skills.

Child Development:

Foster emotional intelligence, social skills, problem-solving, and curiosity.

Health & Safety:

Ensure a secure environment, manage hygiene (feeding, diapering), encourage physical activity, and administer basic first aid.

Observation & Assessment:

Monitor children's progress, note developmental milestones, and identify any potential issues, keeping records for parents.

Parent & Community Engagement:

Maintain open communication, involve parents in the program, and collaborate with other professionals.
Daily Activities

Leading story time, songs, and discussions. Facilitating structured and unstructured play. Guiding children with basic needs (eating, dressing). Managing classroom routines, transitions, and tidying up.
Key Skills & Focus Areas

Holistic Approach:

Supporting the whole child, not just academics.
