Maintenance of Heavy Mining Equipment with a focus on Shovels, Excavators, Dozers and Drills. Maintain equipment to an acceptable level to ensure reliability in support of production targets.
Minimum Requirements

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Trade xe2x80x93 Diesel Mechanic / Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic

• And/or national Diploma Degree xe2x80x93 Mechanical Engineering (Strong Advantage)

• No criminal record

• Valid Driverxe2x80x99s license

• Preferably at least three to five yearsxe2x80x99 experience in the maintenance of CAT(6050/6030), Liebherr (9350/9400) and Komatsu(PC3000) large excavators and shovels.

• Must have demonstrated skills, experience & proven ability to maintain 85% fleet availability

• At least three yearsxe2x80x99 technical service experience (at Supervisory/Managerial level)

• Major rebuild of heavy earthmoving equipment

• Plant (Earthmoving Equipment) Performance (Availability, Utilization, MTTR, MTBF)

• Manage scheduling of services and ensure all relevant paperwork is in order and on time

• Co-ordinate the inspection lists and delegate daily duties to the Plant Foreman

• Co-ordinate the daily duties of the service supervisors

• Monitor equipment availabilities daily

• Follow up on breakdowns as a matter of urgency

• Maintain an 85% availability

• Minimize all fleet downtime and treat with sense of urgency

• Maintenance planning and daily execution
