Duty Manager - George Lodge

George Lodge is seeking a dedicated

Duty Manager

who thrives on delivering outstanding guest service, leading teams with confidence, and maintaining seamless day-to-day operations. Join us in creating memorable experiences for every guest.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Services

Oversee front-of-house operations to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction. Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries or concerns. Engage with guests to provide a warm, personalized experience.

Team Leadership

Assign tasks, monitor staff performance, and provide constructive feedback. Foster a positive and motivated team culture. Prepare and manage staff rosters to ensure optimal coverage.

Daily Operations

Oversee breakfast service, welcoming guests, managing seating, and ensuring excellent waiter service. Support conference functions, from guest arrival to maintaining high service standards. Assist the owner with operational needs, including occasional stock collection in town.

Health & Safety

Ensure all safety protocols are followed to protect both guests and staff. Maintain a secure and compliant environment across all lodge operations.

Qualifications & Skills

Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management (preferred). Previous supervisory or management experience in hospitality or tourism. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to remain calm and resilient in a fast-paced environment. First Aid and CPR certification (advantageous). Experience with

Semper

software (advantageous). Reliable Transport and drivers license Must be able to work weekends and overtime when required
