JUNIOR BUYER - RAW MATERIALS (HAMMARSDALE, KZN)
Acquire raw materials that meet quality standards and ensure their timely availability for production through efficient logistics, all while maintaining competitive pricing and protecting profit margins.
ESSENTIAL ROLE REQUIREMENTS - PLEASE READ ALL LISTED BELOW:
BCom/BSc Agriculture / Ruminants / Poultry industry
Matric / Grade12
Driver's License and own vehicle
Applicants that have just qualified are welcome to apply on condition: You have a valid SA driver's license and own transport
Experience is not a must - but experience, within manufacturing, Logistics and procurement is  highly preferable
Must be able to work independently within a week or two - MUST BE A FAST LEARNER.
COMPUTER - Proficient in MS Excel (including formulas, spreadsheets etc)
A knowledge of Premixes and medication
Seeking an individual with strong interaction skills; outgoing, self-confident, talkative, and thrives being around people.
English is a must however do also need a knowledge of and be able to read, speak and understand Afrikaans
3 – 4 Years’ experience in buying / purchasing of raw materials preferred
Proven experience in a manufacturing, logistics and procurement environment
Proven work knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word
Conflict handling skills
Communication & negotiating skills
Relationship building and team player skills
Written communication skills
STRONG KNOWLEDGE OR PROBEN EXPERIENCE OF THE FOLLOWING
Trade products where required at a profitable level by buying and selling the products with the authorization of Group Purchasing Manager and Trader.
Coordination and Administration of raw material contracts.
Raw material quality.
Administration and management of purchasing reports.
Administration of supplier contracts.
