Job SummaryPurpose of the RoleTo oversee the daily operations of the dispatch team, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of goods/services, efficient use of transport resources, and compliance with company policies and procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise the dispatch team to ensure efficient operations.Schedule and coordinate daily dispatch activities, including route planning.Ensure timely and accurate dispatch of goods to customers or clients.Monitor delivery progress and resolve any issues that arise during transit.Liaise with drivers, warehouse staff, and customer service teams to ensure smooth operations.Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, delivery times, and vehicle usage.Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and transport regulations.Support continuous improvement in dispatch processes.Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to team members.Prepare and submit regular operational reports to management.Qualifications and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent (relevant qualifications in logistics or supply chain is an advantage).Proven experience in a dispatch, logistics, or transport coordination role.Experience in a supervisory or team leader capacity preferred.Skills and CompetenciesStrong leadership and people management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Good IT skills - experience with dispatch software or transport management systems (TMS) preferred.Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.Strong organizational and planning skills.Cre8work!Recruiter
