Job Description

Our client was founded in 1981 and focuses on manufacturing, marketing and distributing technological animal feed additives, and disinfectant products for animal feed, livestock, and food. They have an exciting permanent Dispatch Supervisor - International Exports and Distribution position available in Gauteng.

Key Responsibilities:

• International Exports: Manage and oversee the dispatch of products to SADC, East Africa, Nigeria, and Senegal through both road and sea, ensuring compliance with all documentation requirements.
• Domestic Deliveries: Take charge of all deliveries within South Africa that exceed 400km from our warehouse, coordinating with external transporters rather than our internal fleet.
• Product Distribution: Oversee the distribution of imported products to our customers.
• Documentation Management: Ensure all documentation, including Certificate of Conformity, Bill of Lading, import permits, vet certificates, vet inspections, etc., is meticulously handled and maintained.
• Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with the logistics team to facilitate the timely and efficient transportation of goods.
• Budget Management: Manage and optimize the dispatch budget effectively.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire the dispatch team to achieve their best performance.

• Any experience with veterinary licensing will be an advantage.
• Education: A relevant degree or diploma in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in dispatch management, with a strong track record in international exports and meticulous documentation.
• Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail is a must due to the critical nature of documentation in this role.
• Leadership: Proven experience in leading and managing a team.
