Job Description

The Multimedia Digital Designer will use graphic design, animation, illustration and videography skills to create engaging multimedia content across Nedbank owned digital channels. The individual must be a team player, conceptually strong and highly skilled in design, layout, ideation and conceptual thinking. Able to effectively manage creative briefs from concept through to final delivery. The incumbent will be part of a team that is responsible for the production of digital content across Nedbank owned digital channels.

Job Responsibilities

xe2xa6x81 Efficiently roll-out digital assets against a media chase list
xe2xa6x81 Multimedia design and manipulation of various formats: images, animated gifs, photography, short video, audio, etc.
xe2xa6x81 Design and produce digital video content as per the production planning schedule
xe2xa6x81 Produce video title sequences, ensure branding, six-second lead ins, stings and templates, and new formats, as well as bespoke video media content
xe2xa6x81 Be able to manage a video production shoot from start to end (shoot, audio, colour grading, editing footage and exporting to various formats)
xe2xa6x81 Present the framework design/s to the client with storyboards
xe2xa6x81 Make necessary changes in line with the client's revert and the project objectives
xe2xa6x81 Proofread and check the quality of work
xe2xa6x81 Work with Design Lead to brainstorm and mock-up design ideas and concepts with cross-functional team
xe2xa6x81 Creating digital images/illustrations for the purpose of animation
xe2xa6x81 Effectively execute against briefs through a well thought-out design process

People Specification

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate / BA Design Degree

Preferred Qualification

Degree in Digital Design or related

Type of Exposure

xe2xa6x81 5+ years' experience in agency or inhouse design studio.

xe2xa6x81 Strong conceptual designer

xe2xa6x81 Proficient in Adobe suite such as, Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premier Pro, Dreamweaver and XD

xe2xa6x81 Strong HTML 5 coding of newsletters, banners, building in DV360 is a benefit

xe2xa6x81 Have good understanding of all digital media and social channels.

xe2xa6x81 Must have experience working with media chase list/creative matrix

xe2xa6x81 Must perform well within a high pressure environment

xe2xa6x81 Excellent in working with teams and independently

xe2xa6x81 A great eye for design with attention to detail

xe2xa6x81 Knowledge of the industry and new technologies

xe2xa6x81 The ability to present own work when needed

Minimum Experience Level

5+ years in digital agency studio environment in a graphic/multimedia/digital designer capacity

Technical / Professional Knowledge

xe2xa6x81 Proficient in Adobe Suite such as, Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premier Pro, Dreamweaver and XD

xe2xa6x81 Strong HTML 5 coding of newsletters, banners, building in DV360 is a bonus

xe2xa6x81 Experience in a digital marketing agency would be highly advantageous

xe2xa6x81 Experience in digital user experience and CX

xe2xa6x81 Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail and an ability to work independently and within a team

xe2xa6x81 Strong digital project management skills with experience in all digital platforms

xe2xa6x81 Ability to negotiate deadlines, deliverables and expectations with clients

xe2xa6x81 Ability to meet deadlines timeously at a high delivery standard

xe2xa6x81 Proven understanding of the digital production process and the ability to run projects efficiently

xe2xa6x81 Solid understanding of all design formats
