The incumbent would be required to ensure all technical aspects of the bulletin are met. To assist with producing creative and compelling content for Digital.

Budget Compliance

Writing

Have good knowledge and understanding of South African and global news.

Create compelling content by developing high-quality, informative and engaging content.

Incorporate eye-catching visuals, such as images and videos to stories.

Have an ability to write to visuals.

Fact check all content to ensure that it meets with the correct standards.

Stories must be accurate and unbiased.

Write, edit and publish creative stories for eNCA.com.

Have the ability to generate content found on online searches and social media i.e. trending stories and fresh angles.

Write copies that meet eNCA.com style guide.

Ensure that written copies include hyperlinks to previous stories and embed posts from social media.

Technical

Excellent understanding of newsroom workflow systems (Dalet).

Cutting of bytes and interviews for digital platforms (Volicon).

Check electronic media, social media and articles of interest.

Qualifications

National Senior Certificate - Essential

3-year National Diploma in Journalism - Essential

Bachelor's Degree in Journalism - Recommended

Experience

3 years' experience in Digital Content Producing - Essential

Computer Literacy

MS Office Suite - Basic

Photoshop - Intermediate

Video Editing - Intermediate
