Our Cape Town office is looking for a Digital Art Director to add their creative skills, delivering and encouraging award-winning work, from conceptualising integrated campaigns through to execution, exceeding client expectations.

You will be a digital creative all-star, ready to take on the world of digital advertising. You have the skill set to capture promotional excitement and breakthrough designs for multiple media platforms such as website, Facebook, TikTok, etc. whilst ensuring that the digital elements are exciting and ground-breaking.
As a Digital Art Director, you will be responsible for designing and delivering digital elements: website elements; social media content; paid media content; e-mail campaigns and entry-level animations and GIFs. Our ideal person would enjoy working within a greater creative team.

• A completed tertiary qualification in Digital Design
• An eye for detail, ability to work well under pressure, as well as being up to date with the latest digital marketing trends, techniques and technologies are essential requirements
• A completed tertiary qualification in Digital Design
• Working closely with the copywriter to generate creative ideas and concepts to fulfill the client's brief
• Gaining an understanding of the target audience and business which the advert is targeted at
• Meeting with the creative director and account managers before presenting ideas to clients
• Pitching ideas to clients
• Working on location
• Attending meetings at production houses and with other directors
• Working in editing suites to oversee the finished product

Inherent Requirements


Minimum relevant experience and skills/attributes required:

• Art Direction and Design
• Carry out visual and conceptual skills from initial brief to final artwork
• Strong digital Portfolio
• Strong conceptual ability preferred
• Great presentation skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Committed collaborative team player
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)

Technical Skills:

• Animation (entry level)
• Adobe Suite (PhotoShop and InDesign)
• Digital Design
• UX and UI Design advantageous, but not essential
• FIGMA

Job Requirements

• At least 3-4 yearsxe2x80x99 experience as a Digital Art Director in an advertising agency a must (with Retail client exposure)
• Experience with web design elements; animation and social media design
• Experience in high-volume environments with fast turnarounds preferred
