Job Description
The primary purpose of the Role:
Forklift Mechanic is to maintain, diagnose and repair a variety of forklifts and other materials handling equipment.
They must ensure that all components and systems are in good working order and that the machines are kept in a safe condition.
Role : Diesel Mechanic - Forklift
Location: Glen Anil, Durban SA
Minimum requirements :
Education:
Matric or N3 Technical Certificate
Red Seal - Diesel Mechanic or Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic
- Min 5 years experience with servicing and repairing forklifts .
- Strong Technical experience
- Removes unsafe equipment from the facility operating area and notifies the supervisor.
- Tests forklift trucks to ensure repairs are completed correctly.
- Providing technical and diagnostic services to material handling equipment.
- Repair, preventative maintenance and service of various types of forklift trucks Diesel, LPG / Petrol, Electric forklifts and warehouse equipment on-site.
- Maintenance of the workshop
- Creating, completion and maintaining job cards.
- Providing general maintenance support.
- Must be able to communicate at all levels.
- Well-disciplined and self-motivated
- Field service and able to work long hours
